For my paper I hope to look at the relationship between the expansion of the United State’s frontier and the relationship it had with the United States Army. \u00a0As the frontier expanded westward the army grew in size but it never reached the numbers to effectively perform its duties. \u00a0They were charged among many things with protecting Indians \u00a0and conducting explorations. \u00a0I hope to look at the struggles the frontier presented them with and how they adapted to them. \u00a0I hope too look at the laws they administered and how their presence was received by Indians.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
