Step 1: Log into your Davidson Domains

Step 2:  From the dashboard, select “subdomains”

Step 3: Pick a name for the subdomain for your course (the easiest is probably the course number, but you can call it whatever you want)

Step 4: Go back to the dashboard and scroll down to web applications.  Select WordPress

Step 5: Click on “Install Application.”  You should see a drop-down menu with your main domain and your newly created subdomain

On the installation page, you’ll have the option to set your own user name and password.  Set these to something you’ll remember!  You can also change the title of the blog (in the box that currently contains “Just Another WordPress Site”)

Once the web application is installed, send me the URL.

 

Bonus step: To post to your blog, navigate to [subdomain].[yoururl]/wp-admin and log in.  Once you’re logged in, select post>new post
