In 1200-1700 words (roughly 5-7 pages, double spaced) contextualize an “artifact” that exemplifies some intersection of gender and technology in terms of the theory we have covered in this class.

These contextualizations should:

Clearly articulate the cultural and historical significance of the artifact (this can include the chronology, maker, and/or other things like it).
Explain the artifact’s historical context.
Make some kind of historical argument about the artifact (see the list of historical questions here).
Explain how one/some of the theories we have read help us to more. deeply understand the artifact.
Make clear and innovative claims.
Reference specific pieces of evidence from the artifact.
Include proper references (to THREE sources from the class readings and TWO outside sources)
